This prolly isn't the best song to post in a potential posting, but it just get into a rhythm when I listen to it. It gives me some feels about who I want to be with, who I have spent time with, and my own self.

I grew up in Tennessee, and so kind of as a given, you could assume that I listened and do listen to country music. But more importantly, what does this song have to do with Black Music and Culture? Did this song develop in a vacuum of whiteness (probably not)? Why does Tim McGraw go into this Soulful and almost Rock-ish outro in a country song? Moreover, listen to the lyrics. What do the lyrics say about racial identity, multiracial identity, indigenous identity, or biracial identity? What are the repercussions? Let's look deeper into our own pasts, share them each other, and start to more deeply understand music and lyrics.
